Once again, I sign up for a free membership to a site and don’t take advantage of it for some time. I created an account with ancestry.com back in February, but really didn’t do much with it. So today, I decided to sign up for a (discounted) six-month World Explorer Membership. This is going to allow me to explore my European roots. I’ve known since I was in high school about John Perrin who came to America in 1635 on the ship Safety, landing in Massachusetts. But I hope to find out where he came from. Also, my paternal grandmother, Ethel Poultney Babcock Kronk, is turning 100 in September, and I want to find out what happened to her parents (she was orphaned as a young girl), and where that family line came from.
